Magebane 2

Magebane 2 is a 3D strategic single player roleplaying game where you command three monks on a quest to recover the holy Amulet of Yendor. The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall

The Elder Scrolls: Arena

Inspired by such games as Ultima Underworld and the unheralded Legends of Valour, Arena was now seen as a massive first-person RPG -- the game that recreated the pen-and-paper RPG experience -- be who you want and do what you want. For a long time Arena was a party-based game, where you lead a group of adventurers. This style of play proved less fun in first person, so Arena became a single character game.

Arena was to be the first chapter in an ongoing series of games, so the series took its name from Tamriel's mystical tomes of knowledge that told of its past, present, and future -- The Elder Scrolls.

Summoning Wars

Summoning Wars is a free, open source 3D RPG for PC (Windows and Linux) and Mac. It’s still an ongoing process, with the developers frequently adding new touches and polishing some aspects. It’s clearly very far from the usual commercial RPGs but it’s worth a look since its creators are extremely dedicated to the game.

That commitment can be seen in the way you can slightly control the 3D camera, but mostly by the game modes on offer – a single player adventure with a lot of care going for the story and a multiplayer mode for up to 8 players. The hack’n’slash style of gameplay comes complete with weapon, goods and equipment purchasing, as well as an intuitive interface, but we can regret a certain emptiness in some scenarios.

Summoning Wars is already worthy of attention, but if the developers keep on adding content and improving the technical department, then it can become absolutely mandatory.

Communism Muscle Cars

Communism Muscle Cars is a racing game that was released in 2009 as a retail product but now is available for free. We could say that “in Russia, cars drive you”, but that would be far from the truth since in the communist world of this game, set in 2017, it’s up to the player to race with classic cars and show his skills.

This free to play PC game offers some sharp 3D visuals and nicely modeled muscle cars, racing in busy city tracks at mesmerizing speed. The handling model may seem a bit off for some players but it’s still very playable once we get the hang of it.
